An alert for price spikes in Nano. It is the second signal, next to No1, and it is still in testing.
Nano is thinly traded and its price jumps. Now and then it shoots far above or below its recent average and falls back. No2 looks for exactly these moments:
No1 reacts to slow moves. No2 reacts to fast ones. Both only work if the cost of swapping stays small.
Beta · free · follow the channel
The beta is running and posts live: the price is checked every five minutes and alerts appear in t.me/No2nanoSignal. Every alert shows the spread measured at that moment, in both swap directions. Alerts are information, not a recommendation and not investment advice. During the beta they are free and may change, be wrong or arrive late.
I do not publish the threshold or the rules behind the alert. Otherwise the same alert would be built by everyone, and the spikes would be gone faster.
Nanswap has no fee, so the only cost is the spread: the gap between the two prices of a swap. It depends on liquidity and changes from minute to minute. It can be small, large, or negative, which means a swap returns a little more than the plain price suggests.
That is why every No2 alert will show the spread measured at that moment, in both directions. If the spread is high, you will see it before you act, and you can skip the alert. This is the main difference from a plain price alert.
I ran the idea over the last twelve months of Nano prices (5-minute data), with realistic swap costs and a delay of 10 minutes between alert and swap. In short:
A calculation of the past with assumptions. It is no promise and no forecast. The exact figures stay with me.
The beta stays free. Afterwards I plan a paid subscription, payable in Nano, built on the same payment and licence system as the NanoTracker. Price and start date will be announced here before anything is charged. No2 does not replace No1; No1 stays free.
